To all pilots:

AME Announcement

I am retiring from my FAA Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) designation and from the FAA; therefore I will not be doing any more AME examinations. Call the Regional Flight Surgeon for a referral if necessary: phone 1-847-294-7491. However, I am not retiring from the practice of medicine.

It has been a great ride for 2 Air Force years, exactly 50 civilian AME years, and 25,000 AME exams.  From now on I‘ll be available primarily for internal medicine. If any pilots need confidential aeromedical consultations, I am available as always.
